MADELEINE MORTIMORE

Violin, Suzuki Pre-K

Madeleine is a violin teacher originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Growing up in the Suzuki world since she was six, she experienced private lessons, master classes, orchestras, and chamber groups from several incredible teachers along the way. Since leaving Pittsburgh, she grew to miss the Suzuki community and went back each summer to get certified to teach Suzuki violin books 1, 2, and 3. In addition to teaching private lessons at Tone, she has taught a pre-k music class, intermediate group classes, and an advanced orchestra, exploring all the different techniques and types of music that exist with her students.

Through her teaching, Madeleine's goal is to spread the enjoyment of music and the community of the Suzuki philosophy. Every child learns differently, but what really makes music special is being able to tell a story.
