Tone Academy Recitals

End of Semester Recitals

Tone Academy strives to create an environment for our students that closely aligns to Dr. Suzuki's original recitals.

- Performing should motivate students through a positive experience and to facilitate the growth that occurs when students observe each other.  Our emphasis on celebrating each child and their hard work contrasts other programs that emphasize performance perfection.

- Students at every level are expected and encouraged to perform, even very beginner students.  We also provide performances exclusively for older and advanced students.

- We believe that the education environment of a private lesson will only be valuable if children also have an opportunity to learn in a community.  Dr. Suzuki wrote, "Parents do not realize that their children will lose their ability as they grow unless they are exposed to a proper environment."

Graduation Recitals

Completing "Twinkle Twinkle" is the first milestone for every student, regardless of instrument. Reaching the end of a Suzuki Book is also an accomplishment to be celebrated!

These individual accomplishments are arranged depending on the preference of our students:
- small and intimate, like playing for the student's family and receiving their award from their teacher
- large, by inviting friends and our larger Tone community to attend their performance
- professional recording session, for students to share with their school, social media, and friends

Graduating Seniors are prepared for their Senior Recital in their last year of school.  An ensemble of professional musicians accompany their performance, which they curate themselves.
