Lauren Freman is an award-winning composer-lyricist and performer, whose work has been featured coast to coast. A recent transplant from Seattle, her compositions and performances have been featured in theater, film, and podcasts, and she currently attends the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

 

Freman studied violin in Florence, Italy, and at Mills College in California, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in music performance. A lifelong musician, Lauren believes very strongly that absolutely anyone can become an artist, because creativity is in our very nature as human beings. Yes, that includes you.

 

Drawing upon many years of experience as both a learner and a teacher, Lauren has developed a teaching practice that emphasizes:

• Operating your instrument safely to avoid injury

• Practicing for optimum performance

• Composition & improvisation

• Self-expression through music

 

Lauren considers it a genuine honor to help hone the creative tools of upcoming musicians, and looks forward to collaborating with your family in support of your young artist.
